That's a new record with the omg 1000 sticks! A stick bomb is a mechanical spring-loaded device constructed out of flat sticks woven together under tension. Other names for stick bombs include Chinese stick puzzles, and frame bombs.  Stick bombs can be constructed out of most flat sticks of the appropriate dimensions. The usual material for construction is wood, but plastic can also be used. Ice pop sticks (craft sticks) and tongue depressors are popular because of availability, low cost, and because they are easily coloured. Tongue depressor sticks are strongly recommended for construction as they have lower tension than craft sticks and thus are easier to work with. The sticks are woven together to form a reticulated grid with each stick held in place by tension created by the elasticity of wood or other material. If constructed properly, the removal of a single stick causes the other sticks to fly apart with surprising force. The speed of the shock wave depends on the materials used. If craft sticks are used, the detonation speed is approximately 30–40 meters per second (67–90 miles per hour); for tongue depressors, the speed is under 10 meters per second (22 miles per hour). -- Wikipedia

Love this video. To "i f***** hate this vid", you need a lesson in grammar and spelling. You also need to learn not not to take things so seriously. To yankers, if you are using speakers, there is usually a knob that adjusts the volume. Use that next time instead of bitching about how a wonderful family decided to put up a video of themselves having fun, but weren't "considerate" enough to mute the sound themselves. Lighten up people!

idiotproof - think "fireproof". idiots can't hurt me, but fire can. I have to agree with Suzy Logan and Thome. I liked the vid, it was cool. The Kid and his family were havin' fun. I can only wish I had my family again. The neg. comments are what's dumb. Cynical-ism seems to be runnin' rampant. Too much bitterness and anger, for too long, can severely affect one's health physical and yes, I know, mentally. I know this from experience. I had to get a life and get over losing my family, havin' to live in a place I can't stand, for too long. (Georgia double suxx, because the ppl sux.)

this vid was cool because of the way it disassembled itself! it was like a cobra moving slowly backwards spitting sticks out! most of the vids i've seen looked like moving explosions and moved quickly. this design was pretty awesome!
