The march of the indignants arrived in Brussels on the 7th of October, after over two months of walking. Hundreds of protesters walked from Madrid, Paris and parts of Germany to the European parliament to demand a more participatory democracy and greater equality. Since arriving in Brussels the indignant movement has faced continued police repression and brutality.

The police of this world need to learn, and quickly, that they are here to protect us (the civilians) from exactly this kind of brutality. The police of the world need to be held accountable for each and every act of unlawfulness and crime they commit no matter how they word it! The police of the world have been getting more and more aggressive, brutal and lawless and they need to pay for what they're doing. As it is they can charge, accuse and arrest with impunity. That needs to change and NOW! The police need to held accountable for every act they perform as public servants, as protectors of the public and as law enforcement. Law enforcement doesn't mean you're above the law and each and every time a policeperson commits an act of violence; charges, accuses or arrests a member of the public/civilian without cause or just provocation or performs an act of cruelty, abuse or brutality against any civilian, he/she needs to be charged and imprisoned for that crime even more harshly than a civilian would. These are supposed to be the people who we entrust with knowing and upholding the law. They are the ones who are supposed to be being held to a higher standard. But these are exactly the ones using/abusing the trust, responsibility and authority to harm the ones they're sworn to protect and defend from exactly that self same abuse! MAKE THEM PAY! AND TWICE AS MUCH for their abuse!
