Every year Scott Base (New Zealand) and McMurdo Station (USA) face off in a one-of-a-kind international rugby tournament played on the Ross Ice Shelf near Ross Island, Antarctica.

Moving the Drewry building at Halley research station, basically one of the biggest caravans in the world and its on ski's. It weighs 60 tones so 4 bull dozers and 4 tractors are all linked together to pull it out of it's hole into a new position. This happens every year to stop it from getting buried with snow.
