This is multimedia reply to Alaska Marine Highway

Kasco Marine sent equipment and personnel 312 miles north of the Arctic Circle to assist with a whale rescue in 1988. 3/4 HP circulator kept the holes open in the ice at negative 30 degrees. The whales appreciated it and Kasco was proud to work with the Inuit crews, and Alaskan wildlife officials. A Russian icebreaker arrived later to free the whales.
