YASUHIRO YAMASHITA // Architect Yasuhiro Yamashita began his career in architecture in 1986. His seminal project "Cell Brick" House (2004) won the UK's AR Awards for Emerging Architecture. He also completed the Ethiopia Millennium Pavilion (2009) where he combined traditional houses from Japan and Ethiopia. This project is a part of his "Re-Location" series. "Time", "Cross Culture", and "Environment" have been three guiding principles in his work. Another conceptual foundation is "Re-editing value", which is to review and reconstruct one's perception of existing paradigm and phenomenon. By using architecture as a filter, Yamashita continues to challenge environmental and social issues. 山下保博 // 建築師 可以用兩個形容詞貼切地形容山下保博，那就是積極與開放。 出身於鹿兒島 ，童年時代被陽光與海洋圍繞而長大的他也親身證實了這些特質。2004年他的一項突破性的專案"細胞磚"房屋，以新興建築形態替他贏得了英國的ＡＲ＋d獎第一名。接著，他的作品和演講也隨著向全世界廣闊的傳播開來，不斷的獲得競賽和獎項的肯定。在2009年，他參加伊索比亞千禧展示館競圖，結合傳統日式和衣索比亞各自國家已被遺忘的房屋風格中，融合創新。 "時間"、"跨文化"、"環境"一直是他建築作品的三個遵守原則。透過建築為媒介， 山下保博持續挑戰並關心環境和社會議題。
