헤나 윤 ( Henna Yoon ) 행위 예술 가 Performance Artist 헤나 윤 은 파격적인 작품과 에너지로 세상과 소통하며 자신의 존재를 눈부시게 표현해왔다. 그녀는 접하기 힘든 다양한 소재를 접목시켜 보다 새로운 작품을 만들어 내기기 위하여 오늘도 그녀만의 세계를 만들어내고 있다. 우리는 그녀의 파격적인 작품들과 상상들이 우리 눈 앞에 펼쳐지기를 바라며 그녀의 다음 작품을 기대해본다. 런던 ICA, BAC, The Charing X Window Gallery, 폴란드 Krzysztofory Gallery등의 유수한 사이트에서 작업을 선보인 그녀는 런던 베이스 퍼포먼스 컴퍼니 'animate:SPACE'의 co-founder 였으며 현재 한국에서 중앙대학교 조소과에 출강 중이다. 참고로, 그녀의 다음 계획은 하루에 60번의 해넘이를 볼 수 있는 행성으로 떠나 정착하는 것. 홍대 회화과 재학 시절 우연한 기회로 런던으로 도영. 이후 Central Saint Martins에서 퍼포먼스와 설치위주의 작품을 다루게 된다. 그녀의 작품은 주로 프로이트의 Uncanny를 매개체로, 기억과 특정 장소를 연계시켜 이야기를 풀어나가는 형식. "...나는 항상 내 자신이 마치 동화 속, 숲 속에 들어가 제 집 찾아가는 법을 잃어버린 아이 같아요..."라고 자신을 그리는 그녀의 작품은 '기억'이라는 사라져 버리는 존재의 두려움을 자신의 개인적 경험에 투영시켜 작업한다. 설치 작업과 더불어 작가 자신을 하나의 오브젝트로 이용하는 퍼포먼스는 관객 참여를 통한 실현 과정을 통해 익숙함과 익숙지 않음, 도플갱어, 데자뷰등의 감정을 이끌어 내는 단순히 감상만 하는 아트가 아닌, 함께 느낄 수 있는 아트인 것이다. 물고기 자리, 몽상가, 페어리테일 메이커, 펭귄 광신도, 지도 매니아. Communicating with the world with extreme works and energy, she has expressed existence of her brilliantly. She's making her own world to create newer arts again today by grafting un-come-at-able and diverse material onto works. Hoping her imagination and extreme works spread out before us, we expect her next works. For reference, her next plan is to leave the planet that can see the sunset 60 times a day and settle in there. While in Hongik University Department Painting, she left for London by chance. Since then, she had handled performance and pieces of installation. Hers is mostly form to make story by connecting between memory and certain location with Uncanny of Freud as the medium "It looks like I'm a child that always forgets how to go back the house in fairy tale or forest." Like that, projecting fear of presence vanishing onto her personal experience and drawing herself in works, she creates hers. With the installation operation, the performance using artist as one of object is not art that audiences simply watch. They are arts that audiences can feel familiar or unfamiliar things, emotion like doppelganger, dejavu through participation of audience. She worked at excellent sites of ICA, BAC, The Charing X Window Gallery in London, Krzysztofory Gallery in Poland and so on. Also, she assumed a role of co-founder in london bass performance company called animate:SPACE. Now she teaches at Chung-Ang University Department of Sculpture in Korea.
